Lake City, FL – Pedestrian Crash at US 41 and SW High St

Lake City, FL (January 12, 2020) – Around 4:15 a.m. this morning, a pedestrian crash took place at the intersection of US-41 and Southwest High Street in Lake City.

According to police, 25-year-old Eugene Farmer Jr. was walking across the southbound lane of traffic when he was suddenly struck by a Dodge van being driven by a 41-year-old woman from Lake City.

The Florida Highway Patrol reported that Farmer tragically died at the scene of the accident.

No charges have been issued but the accident remains under investigation.
