Ocala, FL (July 16, 2020) – This morning, authorities and other responders were dispatched to the scene of a car accident at an Ocala intersection.

According to authorities, the collision took place around 10:50 a.m. when two vehicles collided for unknown reasons at the intersection of Bonnie Heath Boulevard and Northwest 60th Avenue.

Though few details have been provided, it is believed that one of the vehicles entered into the intersection at the same time as another, causing them to forcefully collide with each other. The damages that resulted from the collision were severe.

Due to injuries, paramedics and numerous other responders were prompted to the scene of the accident. One or more victims were injured and taken to the hospital for treatment. Their conditions are not yet known.

The right lane of traffic was blocked at the intersection for a period of time following the accident. Police quickly worked to clear the roadway.

No further details have been released to the public but police continue their investigation at this time.
