St. Augustine, FL – Bus Accident at Woodlawn Rd Intersection
St. Augustine, FL (February 8, 2020) – According to police, two people were injured in a bus accident that took place at a St. Augustine intersection yesterday, February 7.
The Florida Highway Patrol confirmed that the collision took place at the intersection of State Road 16 and Woodlawn Road when an SUV and a bus with 34 students collided. The bus belonged to the Florida School for the Deaf and Blind.
According to FHP, two students were injured in the accident. The extent of their injuries is not known but they are expected to fully recover.
The accident took place around 2:47 p.m. and police confirmed that a Jacksonville man in the SUV turned in front of the bus.
The driver of the SUV was identified as 65-year-old Grantham Parramore, who was charged with failing to yield at a traffic signal.
The investigation into the collision is ongoing at this time.
