Gainesville, FL (February 1, 2020) – Two people were allegedly killed in a fatal motorcycle crash at the intersection of 24th Avenue and Southwest 70th Terrace.
Gainesville authorities responded to the scene of the collision, where they discovered that an SUV was attempting to make a left turn onto 24th Avenue when a motorcycle ran into the door of the vehicle.
Police confirmed that the motorcycle immediately caught on fire and both individuals on the motorcycle died.
The driver of the SUV that collided with the motorcycle was identified as 55-year-old Lula Mae Melton. She was not injured.
At this time, the investigation into the accident continues.
