Jacksonville, FL – Woman Struck & Killed on I-95

Jacksonville, FL (January 29, 2020) – A pedestrian accident on Tuesday evening claimed one woman’s life. On January 28, authorities responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 95.

Reports indicate that at around 9 p.m., Beverly Covington was walking down the interstate when she was struck by a Chevrolet Impala. The impact of the collision caused her to fly into the median of the roadway.

Sadly, Ms. Covington sustained fatal injuries in the accident and was declared deceased at the scene.

At this time, police are investigating.
