Gainesville, FL (July 1, 2020) – Early this morning, a hit-and-run accident with injuries took place in Gainesville.

The accident took place around 9 a.m. this morning when two vehicles collided at the intersection of 75th Street and Newberry Road. The vehicle that caused the collision immediately fled the scene.

Numerous emergency responders were called to the scene of the accident including fire crews and paramedics. EMS crews assisted those with injuries.

Police did not confirm if they caught the driver responsible for the accident or not.

The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
