St. Johns, FL – Fatal Accident Involving 2 Vehicles on County Rd 210
St. Johns, FL (December 7, 2019) – On Friday morning, December 6th, a woman was killed in a fatal accident involving two vehicles on County Road 210.
The St. Johns Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene of the accident where they found through initial investigations that a van was exiting the parking area of the local Pilot Travel Center around 5:30 a.m. when it was struck by a passing pickup truck.
The van immediately flipped onto its side. The woman inside was transported to the Baptist South Hospital in critical condition.
Police said that the victim ultimately succumbed to her injuries. She has been identified as 49-year-old Mariamne Rojas-Acevedo of St. Johns County.
No other details have been released but the investigation is currently ongoing.
