Interlachen, FL – Hit-and-Run Accident at Shirley St Intersection
Interlachen, FL (May 19, 2020) – Early this morning, police responded to the scene of a hit-and-run accident at an Interlachen intersection.
The accident, according to police, took place at the intersection of Shirley Street and Lenore Avenue when at least two vehicles collided with one another around 10:30 a.m. One of the vehicles fled the scene of the accident and police have not said whether or not they caught the responsible driver.
Paramedics were called to the scene of the accident where they discovered that at least one victim, but possibly more, had injuries.
All lanes of traffic were closed down for a short period of time but the road was quickly reopened.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
