Jacksonville, FL – 2 Injured in Serious Truck Crash on I-10

Jacksonville, FL (December 23, 2019) – Around 11:20 a.m. yesterday morning, December 22, police responded to the scene of a serious truck crash on I-10 in Jacksonville.

According to police, all eastbound lanes of traffic were closed down due to the collision that caused serious damages, including a broken overhead sign.

The Florida Highway Patrol confirmed that the driver of a semi was traveling east and started to slow down so that they could exit. The driver lost control of their truck, which caused it to swerve across the eastbound lanes of traffic. The semi then collided with a guardrail and support beams for a large traffic sign.

The driver of the semi was identified as a 29-year-old man from Orlando with a 50-year-old male passenger. Both were taken to the hospital with injuries but are expected to be okay.

The driver is now facing charges of careless driving. Police continue to investigate the circumstances of the collision at this time.

Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their families in hopes of a full recovery.
