Jacksonville, FL (July 18, 2020) – This afternoon, police responded to a car accident involving multiple vehicles on a highway in Jacksonville.

According to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, the collision took place in the northbound lanes of FL-9A around the area of Atlantic Boulevard. The crash involved two or more vehicles, which collided for reasons that are not yet known.

The crash took place around 12:26 p.m. and numerous responders were dispatched to the scene to help those with injuries. Fire crews and paramedics were present at the scene. Though the conditions of those involved are not yet known, it is believed that the victims were transported to the hospital for treatment.

Police were able to quickly clear the roadway so that traffic could resume as normal.

No further details have been provided but the investigation into the collision is currently ongoing.
