Jacksonville, FL – Car Crash on FL-9A on Dames Point Bridge
Jacksonville, FL (February 7, 2020) – Around noon today, a serious car crash took place on the Dames Point Bridge, which is also known as FL-9A in the area.
Police confirmed that multiple vehicles collided in the northbound lanes of traffic. The accident was so severe that it left debris scattered all over that side of the bridge and the roadway closed down after the collision.
Paramedics and various other emergency responders were called to the scene of the collision and assisted multiple victims with injuries.
Police urged those in the area to find an alternate route after the accident. It took several hours to clear the scene.
The investigation into the accident is ongoing at this time.
