Jacksonville, FL – Hit-and-Run Accident on I-295

Jacksonville, FL (December 12, 2019) – Around 11 a.m. this morning, a serious hit-and-run accident took place on a ramp leading off of a major Jacksonville highway.

According to authorities, the accident took place on I-295 leading onto Wilson Boulevard. It is believed that one vehicle struck another and then fled the scene without stopping.

Police did not comment on any injuries but paramedics were present at the scene assisting one or more victims with injuries.

There were extensive delays coming off of the ramp for several hours as police gathered information.

No other details have been released. Police continue their investigation.
