Jacksonville, FL – Serious Collision Involving Backups on I-10
Jacksonville, FL (December 27, 2019) – Yesterday afternoon, December 26th, police responded to the scene of a serious multi-vehicle collision on Interstate-10 in Jacksonville.
The accident initially took place around 1:40 p.m. near the area of Chaffee Road. It happened when a vehicle clipped a semi-tractor, which caused the entire passenger’s side to be ripped away from the vehicle. The car spun in traffic and was facing the wrong direction on the road.
Within the hour, another accident involving the passenger vehicle took place when a vehicle unrelated to the first crash slammed into it.
The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department claims that more than five patients were sent to the hospital.
The Florida Highway Patrol continues to investigate the incidents at this time.
