Jacksonville, FL – Serious Injuries in Car Accident on St Augustine Rd
Jacksonville, FL (May 29, 2020) – Around 5:30 p.m. last evening, May 28, a serious car accident took place on St. Augustine Road in Jacksonville.
Authorities immediately responded to the scene of the collision, which took place when at least two vehicles collided at 3000 St. Augustine Road for reasons that are not yet known.
One of the vehicles immediately rolled over onto its side after striking a fire hydrant, which propelled water all around the scene.
According to paramedics, one person was trapped with serious injuries in the rolled vehicle. Fire crews were able to extricate the victim, who was immediately taken to the hospital for treatment. It is not known if any other victims were harmed.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues at this time.
