Jacksonville, FL (February 11, 2020) – Around 2 p.m. on February 10, a fatal two-vehicle crash took place on Heckscher Drive. Police have now identified the individual involved.
The crash allegedly took place at the entrance to the Sandollar Restaurant, north of the landing of the Mayport Ferry. The accident was so severe that it blocked both directions of traffic for several hours.
Police confirm that an 80-year-old female educator from Florida State College was pulling out of the restaurant parking lot when her Prius was struck by a Ford F-250. The woman died at the scene of the accident.
