Pompano Beach, FL – Pedestrian Accident at N Powerline Rd Intersection
Pompano Beach, FL (March 5, 2020) – On Tuesday night, March 3, a pedestrian was killed in a fatal pedestrian accident at a Pompano Beach intersection.
The officer from Fort Lauderdale was driving his cruiser near the intersection of North Powerline Road and Martin Luther King Boulevard. The police officer pulled through.
At the same time, 30-year-old Francisco Valdez-Villacres attempted to cross the street when he was struck by the patrol vehicle.
Fire and Rescue assisted at the scene of the accident. The pedestrian was rushed to the hospital but, while there, he tragically passed away.
The investigation into the accident is currently ongoing.
