Alachua, FL (February 23, 2020) – Around 5 p.m. on February 22, a fatal pedestrian accident took place on I-75 that led to the arrest of one person. The crash took place when a 44-year-old man was driving a Ford F-350 truck south on the highway in Alachua. His girlfriend, identified as a 48-year-old woman, was hanging onto the passenger door and being dragged by the vehicle. Alachua, FL (November 8, 2019) – Around 4:45 p.m. this afternoon, police responded to the scene of a car crash in the northbound lanes of I-75.
