Jacksonville, FL – Update: Man Killed in Fatal Bicycle Crash on Normandy Blvd

Jacksonville, FL (November 9, 2019) – Last night, Jacksonville Police responded to the scene of a fatal bicycle crash at Normandy Boulevard and Parrish Cemetery Road.

The Florida Highway Patrol investigated the accident, where they found that a bicyclist was struck by a motor vehicle at the intersection.

The accident caused extensive damage and police were forced to close down the eastbound lanes of Normandy while they investigated. Drivers were asked to avoid the area for some time as delays stretched on in the area.

This morning, police identified the bicyclist as 58-year-old Tony Chaffin of Jacksonville.

The investigation into the accident continues at this time.
