Jacksonville, FL – Update: Girl Dies After Pedestrian Accident on Hillman Dr
Jacksonville, FL (March 23, 2020) – On Saturday evening, a young girl was struck by a firetruck in a pedestrian accident on Hillman Drive. She has since passed away, according to police.
The accident took place as the firetruck with the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department was pulling out of Station 31 on Hillman Drive in Jacksonville.
The young girl was spooked by a neighbor’s dog and was on the street at the time when she was hit by the truck. The truck did not have its lights and sirens on at the time, according to witnesses.
The girl was initially taken to the hospital in critical condition but she has since passed away.
Jacksonville Police continue to investigate the collision.
