Lawtey, FL (July 30, 2020) – Around 7:53 a.m. this morning, a car crash with injuries took place at an intersection in Lawtey.

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene of the accident, which took place at the intersection of CR-218 and US-301. It is believed that two vehicles collided with one another for unknown reasons.

The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged. Numerous responders were present at the scene of the accident including fire crews and paramedics. They assisted those with injuries, though it is not yet known how many were hospitalized as a result.

Police shut down a portion of the intersection for a period of time as they worked to clear the scene.

No further details have been provided but the investigation continues.
