Green Cove Springs, FL (February 25, 2020) – On Monday night, February 24, Clay County authorities discovered a man was killed in a fatal pedestrian accident on US-17.
According to police, the collision took place around 10 p.m. near the area of Shedd Road.
At the time, a Dodge was traveling northbound and struck 30-year-old Oscar Jucum while he was crossing the street. The impact was so forceful that he was thrown into the median. He passed away at the scene.
The 41-year-old driver of the Dodge remained at the scene and was not injured.
An accident investigation remains ongoing at this time.
