Jacksonville, FL (January 8, 2020) – Around 3:30 p.m. yesterday, January 7, police responded to a pedestrian accident involving a train at a local intersection.
The accident, according to authorities, took place at the intersection of Roosevelt Boulevard and Post Street in Jacksonville. A woman was struck by a CSX train for reasons that are not yet known.
According to police, the pedestrian was immediately hospitalized with critical injuries. She was identified as a woman in her 40s or 50s and she is expected to recover.
The investigation into the accident is currently ongoing.
